What a difference. Our Customer Sharon had water leaking in from her deck to her house in Annapolis MD. Her house is a rancher on a slab and the deck was tilted in the wrong direction. It was leaning towards the house. She drilled holes in the decking surface to drain the water away so it would stop leaking into her house and messing up the flooring and not to mention the order from the water.
OUR TEAM MEMBERS
DANIEL LEVY AND DAVID ALAND DID A GREAT JOB
We removed all the bad treated decking and hand railing. We put rubber flashing between the deck band board and the house. We reattached the deck to the house per our county building code. We straighten up the floor joist ( they were sagging, Everything sags with age. ) We underpinned the supporting deck post. The supporting deck post were rotted under the ground surface. We cut them above the surface and remove the part of the post under the ground. We fill the hole with concrete from the original footing up to the bottom of the post. The existing post is now above ground and sealed so it won't rot and last several more years.
We installed TREX DECKING and WHITE VINYL HAND RAILING FROM RDI.
We trimmed the decks edging with WHITE PVC TRIM BOARDS FROM AZECK.
This job started during the second phase of the COVID pandemic and we had trouble getting materials to complete the job.
Sharon was great she was patient with us and understood the situation.
CHECK OUT THE PICTURES AND SEE IF SHE WAS HAPPY WITH US. :)
Sharon's house was cold and drafty, we replaced her windows with All sides windows. The windows also brought the equity of her house up. Six months ago we replaced her master bathroom vanity and a year ago we did a complete facelift of her deck. We love happy customers and repeat business. She always requests David Aland to do the work.
Our client Sharon was having an issue with water leaking into her home due to the way the old wooden deck had been installed. Shortly after we started work on Sharon's job, we were hit with the covid outbreak. Luckily for us, she kept us on, and we were able to give her a brand new TREX deck. We went in with commercial grade roofing rubber in between the foundation of the house and the band board of the deck and up the bottom of the siding.
Ashley and her family never liked how small their front porch was, so they decided it was time to create a larger front porch. Another thing Ashley wasn't really a big fan of was weeding the front garden. She wanted the porch to cover the existing garden space and eliminate the task of weeding the garden.
The front porch of our client's home was beginning to deteriorate after years of weather exposure. To make the steps safer we built a new porch right over the top of the old one. We used TREX decking so that it would be maintenance-free and keep its curb appeal for years to come.
